Troubleshooting

General Issues

Screen Cast

The edge of the screen seems to wobble

You may notice a slight edge wobble compared to our smaller units. This is caused by the flexible LED panels, which are designed to bend to prevent rigidity and potential snapping during operation. The wobble is usually unnoticeable and may only be seen during animations that extend beyond the display area with all LEDs illuminated. This behavior is to be expected and not an indication of anything loose or dysfunctional.

I can't connect the Vision to Bluetooth

The Vision supports Bluetooth, however your Bluetooth speaker must allow for automatic pairing. Devices requiring passcodes or lacking a dedicated pairing mode may not connect properly. If a speaker fails to connect, it may not be compatible with our system.

I can't find the SD card

The micro SD card comes already inserted into the fan, please check the side of the core marked by a small circle, here you will find the SD.

Simply press down on the SD to eject it.

Where can I find the pre-processed files?

We do not currently have any pre-processed files available for the Vision as the upload speeds are significantly faster and more convenient for this model.

Please download files from the MP4 Archive and process them via our Windows or Mobile app.

The image quality appears to be lower

Screen Cast mode slightly reduces the resolution because the video must be compressed and processed in real time before it is displayed.

Unlike a normal screen or monitor where every pixel stays in a fixed position, our hologram display works very differently. The display surface is constantly moving as the blades spin. To create a stable image in mid-air, the system has to calculate exactly when and where each LED should light up during every rotation of the fan. This means the device is continuously converting the incoming video signal into precise timing instructions that control colour, brightness, and position thousands of times per second.

Because of this, our system isn’t simply “playing a video” like a standard display. It is performing more complex real-time calculations to map the image onto a spinning array of over 1000 LEDs. When using Screen Cast mode, the device must also receive, decode, and synchronize the wireless video stream at the same time.

To keep this process stable and responsive is a challenge, and slightly increasing the compression levels help to achieve a smoother real-time playback.

How can I reduce delay & improve stability

The real-time screen cast mode can sometimes experience a delay of 1 to 3 seconds if the phone / laptop is too far from the Vision as the built-in hotspot has limited range and stability.

For best performance with the built-in hotspot, operate the fan close to the device it is connected to. Increased distance will result in an unstable connection.

Advanced Option
For optimal results we recommend using a dedicated dual-band router (2.4G and 5G) to increase the overall stability and connection speed.

Open both frequency channels and set the wifi name and password of your router to "SpinDisplay"

The Vision will automatically connect to the WIFI signal.

Connect your phone / computer to the 5G channel, then open the app and start the projection mode.

We recommend keeping the dedicated router as close to the Vision as possible for the best results.

The image is frozen

This feature is still experimental and may present a few limitations.

If the signal connection drops out during real-time projection the image will unfortunately freeze until the connection is reestablished or the system reboots.

We recommend ending the projection and restarting it to resolve the frozen image.

Occasionally the image may also freeze due to extended usage. If the image becomes stuck frequently during a session, restart the Vision by removing and reconnecting the power source.

For the best results we also recommend waiting 5-15 minutes before reconnecting the power to allow the Vision an opportunity to rest.

The image suddenly split

Occasionally, the display will show a “refresh split.” If this occurs, restarting the screen cast is recommended.

We are currently working on reducing this as much as possible, some phone & tablet models may experience this more frequently than others.

I can't screen cast on iPhone

As of right now, iOS devices are unsupported for our real-time screen cast mode.

Please use the windows software or android app to experiment with this feature.
